RL1000 Unreliable – J. Blakely –
Many of these posts seem to be from previous buyers. I have a RL1000 for two years and now I had thought people could benefit from an experienced owner.
In two years I have had to replace the power supply 3 times and the cradle board 3 times. Both components are about $ 100 when you are done with shipping and even the way you need to budget about $ 300 per year in maintenance costs. This is not including the 2 sets of blades, I also bought. (By the way, do not disturbwith the "deep cut" blades, they do no better than the normal blades mulch.)
None of the components on this system were designed with longevity. I had one of the docking station is not for two boards (count 'em two) days. The service for these devices is terrible, just terrible.
Finally, last week failed one of the driving wheels and it just keep driving around in circles. I will not spend more money for it, so I bought a lawn tractor.
Even ifThings are not broken, is his business, at best, problematic. It is not something you can run unattended. The first season of the unit kept leaving the perimeter area. Had to 3 times before someone could tell me how the problem (sensor requires adjustment call correct). The unit would also depend a lot. I had worked cellar, which involved digging up my entire yard, so I had no yard to sow in autumn. Anticipating that the mowing would begin that fall, I bought the Robomower RL 850 in June. Living in Kansas, it was cold and even snowed, so the mower was safe in my garage through the winter months in early November and stored not in use …
I have to mow it three weeks ago for the first of the spring, andimmediately, I noticed it runs a bit sluggish when it moved manually to start the yard for mowing. On the need for more Eddy: Because my back yard was grass with a patch-type pattern, it makes no sense, the Robomower around the muddy dirt segments used to the patches of grass as healthy. In this review I am writing with very mixed feelings and buyers remorse.
First, I would say that if you great customer service you expect from the production, you will not get it. I expected a manufacturer back with my product, how it is broken, but the manufacturer is in me sending it in for warranty work absolute. After dropping had a buck and a half you feel about reviews and such, but I do not think would be affected. This is the attitude that it has two years warranty and that, asshould be treated.
The reason I have is with mixed feelings that my mother has no problems with the mower, it really is the reason why I bought it, but I see a train wreck coming for me and things usually only get worse with the Product. …. ……… I think I got a lemon.
